"Born from the Soil and Soul of Virginia"
Keswick Vineyards is a family owned and operated winery and vineyard located on the Monticello Wine Trail just outside of Charlottesville, Virginia.
Originally from Michigan, Al and Cindy Schornberg chose the historic site that is Edgewood Estate for their dream vineyard after searching the country, recognizing its potential for producing world class wines.
Keswick Vineyards specializes in producing small lots of high quality Virginia wines and a minimalist approach is taken in the winery while focusing attention on the vineyards to produce the best possible fruit. Most of the wines are fermented using natural or native yeast and all of the current red wines are bottled un-fined and un-filtered. While approachable when young, most of the wines produced at Keswick Vineyards will see 5-10 years quite easily in the bottle, reflecting the personal tastes of the owners and winemaker.
When you head out to visit us, if you are coming from I-64, there is a detour in place until October 15, 2015, re-routing traffic to Route 250. For the easiest access from Exit 129:
- Follow signs to 250 West and turn right.
- Follow 250 West until reaching the intersection of Route 22 (there is an Exxon station on the corner) and turn right.
- From there, follow signs to reach Keswick Vineyards.
Thank you and we can't wait to see you!
