Congratulations to Laura & Justin who were the first couple to get married at Keswick Vineyards for 2015! They really hit the jackpot with the weather that day. The skies were clear & blue with the sun shining and a slight breeze. Wish I could clone that weather for every wedding here. Unlike the beautiful weather they had, both Laura & Justin had the flu prior to their wedding day. For the past 4 days they really hadn't eaten and were kept away from everyone else. Everyone was feeling much better at the rehearsal but not so much the next morning. Laura's Mother woke up to the flu! Can you believe that? What horrible timing. I don't think anyone plans on that happening and how do you trouble shoot that? Her Mother rested that morning while everyone else handled the details for her. When she did arrive she looked amazing! She ended up going to the doctor that morning and got a shot to stop the nausea feeling, some other meds, and she was good to go! Thank God! Speaking of God, these two families have a very strong faith in God and it was present throughout the day. Justin's brother played the guitar during the ceremony while beautiful hymns were sung. I especially love how the men came together just before the ceremony to say a prayer for Laura & Justin. It's nice to witness a wedding that emphasis the importance of God in their ceremony. My favorite part of this wedding: I LOVE the bridesmaids bouquets! They were just baby breath and looked so elegant. What a wonderful idea. Congratulations to Caitlin & Jack who, after 3 ½ years, were married at Keswick Vineyards on Saturday, November 8th.
Mother Nature provided them with the peak of fall colors to enhance the beauty of this venue. Caitlin & Jack decided to hold their ceremony in front of Edgewood Estate, allowing the fountain, vineyard, and mountains to be their backdrop for guests to adore.
Inside the heated Sperry tent, guest cozied up for the evening and enjoyed some amazing food prepared by Richmond’s #1 caterer, Groovin Gourmets. Caitlin & Jack are foodies and it definitely showed by the menu they chose for their guests, including roasted lamb, Rockfish, braised pork chops & pumpkin sage ravioli. And if that didn’t fill you, a dessert bar followed with delicious sweet treats.
What I will remember most from this wedding is Jack’s never ending smile. I love the comment his Mother made of how all she could see when she looked at him was white from his white teeth shining so. Nothing could make us happier here at Keswick Vineyards than to see the happiness from our couples and I definitely could see that clearly from Caitlin & Jack.
Thank you and thanks to the following vendors who did a terrific job: Caterer: Groovin Gourmets, Photographer Alicia White, Flowers by Natalie, Pastry Chef Taylor’s Sweets, Officiant Joy Andreason of Whispers of Joy, DJ Ran Henry, Hair & Make-up by Sass Factory, Event Planner Taylor Verrel, Albemarle Limousine for buses, MS Events for rentals & Skyline Tent Company.

Congratulations to Katie & Roger who were married at Keswick Vineyards on Saturday, November 1st.
Katie’s brother was the officiant and it was such a personal and touching ceremony; one of my favorites to date. You could just feel the heartfelt message being said by her brother. What a treat to be married by your brother.
Mother Nature provided a very windy and cold day for us but no rain! The dramatic sky created some very dramatic photos that their photographer took and I can’t wait to share. My favorite thing from this wedding, besides her brother doing the ceremony, was the “logo” they created with their first name initials and how they had it displayed throughout the reception. I really love the cork shadow box they did and the awesome photo of the two of them (see in my photos below).
I definitely knew before this reception started that we were in for a fun, dancing night and I was right! I must say I have been really impressed with the dancing ability of my recent grooms. Speaking of dancing, one more favorite part for me was when Katie and her Mother did a dance together to Footloose. What a special moment that was to see the two of them having so much fun on the dance floor together. I will remember that forever and I’m sure their guests will also.

Lauren & David really hit the jackpot when it comes to weather. They had one of the most perfect fall days to be married outside to. On Saturday, October 25th, Lauren & David were married at Keswick Vineyards. The sun was out shining to keep everyone nice and warm while enjoying the spectacular fall colors in the vineyard and mountain side.
I love how they had their Yorkie dog in the ceremony. He was just adorable in his tuxedo! The wedding ceremony was extra special. Their officiant was very close friend of theirs that Lauren had asked to marry them even before she was ordained as a minister. Love the personal touch that adds to the ceremony.
After spending time out in the vineyard for photos, Lauren & David returned to the Sperry tent for their reception and enjoyed some amazing food by BBQ Exchange. The short ribs were out of this world! DJ John Garland kept the party going while guests danced the night away.
Thanks to the following vendors for doing such an amazing job: Caterer BBQ Exchange, DJ John Garland, Photographer Jen Fariello, Videographer Paul Hairston, Flowers by Hedge Florist, Pastry Chef Ashley from Charlottesville Cupcakes, Event Planner Angela Parker, Hair & Make-up by Amanda of Lou Stevens Glam Squad, Officiant Leslie Scanlon, Transportation by Albemarle Limousine, Rentals by MS Events & Skyline Tent Company.
What a fairy tale wedding Virginia & Patrick had on Saturday, October 18th.
Ginny spent her morning getting ready at Keswick Vineyards for her off site church ceremony. She and her bridesmaids were swept away in a super stretch Hummer limousine and a vintage car. Ginny in her princess style wedding dress matched perfectly with that vintage car. It really was a fairytale as she left to meet her Prince Charming at the church. When they came back, they were husband and wife and were ready to party with their guests.
Virginia and Patrick chose the front of Edgewood Estate as the location for their cocktail hour. Guests enjoyed themselves as they mingled with one another while enjoying the beautiful fall view of the mountains and vineyard. Guests quickly warmed up once inside the heated Sperry tent that was decorated with hanging bistro lights through out the tent. C&O catering did an outstanding job keeping everything on schedule and serving such delicious meals.
Once dinner was over, this group was up on the dance floor and didn’t come off for 3 hours! There was just non-stop dancing for this wedding and what a fun night it was for everyone!

Saturday, April 5th, started Keswick Vineyards 2014 Charlottesville wedding season with the marriage of Brooke & Matt. It was hard to believe that just a week earlier we were still getting snow! Thankfully, Mother Nature welcomed this wedding day with a beautiful Virginia Spring day. Brooke and her family made sure the day was filled with plenty of personal DIY details that were just perfect for a winery wedding. Everyone loved Brooke's centerpieces; she glued together 3 wine bottles, wrapped some ribbons around them and put a card holder down the center to hold the table numbers. Verde Natural Florals added a few flowers into each wine bottle and that was it. She set them on top of a piece of wood just to add a little something extra to the look. Brooke & Matt also made a cork board to display the names for the seating at each table. Her father made several wood signs to put through out the property including one that showed how many different locations people traveled from to attend this wedding and how far away each one was. The wedding party looked so sharp with the bridesmaids being in a light pink color and the groomsmen in a charcoal grey suit. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour while listening to musician Peter Richardson play his guitar. Afterwards guests were seated under the Sperry tent to enjoy a buffet dinner prepared by Southern Inn Catering. Thanks to the following Charlottesville wedding vendors for doing such a great "opening day" wedding: Caterer Southern Inn Catering, DJ Mark Allen, Photographer Jamie Kay, Florist Verde Natural Florals, Pastry Chef Albemarle Baking Company, Officiant Ryan Thompson, Hair by Kimberly and Musician Peter Richardson. Amazing what the right attitude can make when Mother Nature doesn't cooperate fully with your wedding day weather. Hats off to Caroline & John who were married Saturday, September 21st, at Keswick Vineyards. Caroline & John did all the right things to guarantee good weather for their wedding day. They did the old Southern tradition of burying a bottle of Jack Daniels, upside down, exactly a month before your wedding day for good luck. They even took it a step further and went to Kentucky to get their bottle of Jack Daniels and had it engraved! What could go wrong???? Well, their wedding day came and obviously Mother Nature was an issue for us. Everyone watched closing on dozens of radar projections trying to figure out what would be happening at 4:00. Radar was showing that the rain was going to change to a drizzle around that time so Caroline made the decision that she was determined to have her ceremony outside, even if it was raining. So, with that, everyone got to work in setting up the ceremony and having umbrellas for everyone. Caroline looked amazing in her wedding dress. She was just beaming with joy the entire day. You could feel the excitement between John and Caroline when John first saw her coming down the aisle. The ceremony was just beautiful with the fog in the background covering the mountains. After the ceremony guests enjoyed themselves under the Sperry tent for cocktail hour and the reception. No one seemed to be bothered by the weather. What amazed me the most at the end of the evening was the attitude Caroline had. Her and John were such good sports when it came to taking photo's. They even went out that evening in the rain to have a photo taken highlighting the rain drops. At the end of the evening Caroline said, "If it wasn't for the rain, I would of never gotten these amazing photo's". What a great way to look at the positive side of having it rain on your wedding day. If only there were more brides like Caroline! Special thanks to the following vendors: Event Planner Barb Wired, Photographer Seth Roberts, Videographer Chris Harris, Hair & Make-up by Jeanne Cusick, Hedge Florist, Paradox Pastry, Officiant Mr. Winn, DJ Dennis Payne, Catering by The Local, Musicians for ceremony Madison Trio and Albemarle Limousine. On Saturday, August 31st, Jennifer & Grant were married at Keswick Vineyards in Charlottesville, Virginia. Mother Nature has been giving this area a lot of rain this summer and she ran a little interference in the time line for this wedding. We all kept a close eye on the radar and it was unfortunately showing us that the ceremony time we would be hit with a thunderstorm. After speaking to Jennifer, she decided she would wait out the storm so she could still have her dream outdoor wedding amongst the vineyard. So, that is what we did. After an hour delay, the skies cleared and we were back on tract to having a beautiful outdoor ceremony! The positive to that storm was it cooled everything down and gave us a beautiful sky for a back drop. Just want to share my favorite part of this wedding. They had a custom wine box made that was engraved with their names and wedding date. Inside that wine box was a special bottle of Keswick Vineyards wine and love letters they wrote to each other. During the ceremony they nailed it close and will open it again on their 5th anniversary. What a great idea! Thank you to Jenni, Grant and all their guests for being able to just go with the flow of Mother Nature. The rest of the evening was beautiful! Thank you to the following vendors: Wedding Planner Cinda Hoege of White Birch Events, Photographer C. Tyler Corvin, Caterer Glorious Foods, DJ Dennis Payne, Musicians for ceremony Belle Arte, Hair & Make-up by Bristles Salon, Flowers by Natalie, Chandlers for the wedding cake, rentals by MS Events and buses by Agoff.
Congratulations to Fayette & Mark who were married at Keswick Vineyards on Saturday, July 27th. Mother Nature played tricks with the weather radar all day making it a little stressful for a decision if the ceremony should be held outside or under the tent. Fayette had the final decision and she chose to have the ceremony outside so we all got busy to make that happen. Flowers by Natalie did an amazing chuppah for their ceremony, I have never seen one like that before. It was just perfect for a vineyard ceremony. Fayette wore the most striking wedding dress. The details and lines to it really made a statement. She looked amazing! Guests couldn't help but to get up and do the traditional hora chair dance. Even both sets of parents were hoisted up! And, after the stress Mother Nature caused during the afternoon, she ended up delivering us a beautiful evening for everyone to enjoy. Special thanks to the following vendors for doing an amazing job: Caterer Harvest Moon, Event Planner Barb Wired, DJ Pauly Madison, Photographer Aaron Watson, Flowers by Natalie, Pastry Chef Albemarle Bakery, Cantor Jinny Marsh and Ambassador Limo for buses and limo's. Congratulations to Liza & Trey who were married at Grace Episcopal Church on Saturday, July 20th. After a beautiful ceremony at the church, guests made their way to Keswick Vineyards for cocktails and reception. Rick Olivarez Trio played jazz music while guests enjoyed wines from Keswick Vineyards and tasty hors d'oeuvres by 20 South Catering. Guests then proceeded to find their seat under the Sperry tent. The beauty of the tent was enhanced by the floral arrangements by Pat's Floral Design. Liza & Trey had rented some farm tables to be used as their head table which looked lovely with their decor. Guests worked up a sweat dancing the night away with DJ TD Layman of Sound Enforcement. And, what better way to finish the evening than to enjoy a delicious piece of wedding cake by Cakes Unlimited! Thank you to the following vendors: 20 South Catering, DJ TD Layman, Pat's Floral Design, Cakes Unlimited, Barb Wired Event Planner, Festive Fare for rentals, UTS buses, Jazz Musicians Rick Olivarez Trio and Photographers Matt Stanton & Sarah.
