2016 Consensus - March 5

A look into your day as a winemaker: When you arrive you will be lead back into the cellar by our Winemaker, Stephen Barnard. It will be chilly in there, so make sure you dress warmly! There will be 10 tables to pick from, each seating up to 6 people, giving us 60 people each day to compete for the bragging rights as a daily Consensus team winner. Choose which table feels lucky to you and take a seat. You do not have to make up your own team. Tables of 6 will fill up as people arrive. It is a great opportunity to meet other fellow wine club members & wine lovers while learning a little bit about the art & science to winemaking. Guided by our winemaker and with the help of your new teammates, you will create a wine that will be blind-judged that same day by your wine club peers. We will then have 5 “daily” winners who each will have their group photo on the label. Once we have our 5 daily winners, a panel of professional wine judges will come and blind taste each daily winner and pick the overall best wine, which will be kept a secret until our Consensus Release Party (date TBD). It will be that wine that will be bottled and that winning group will have their photo the largest on the label and be crowned the winemakers for our 2016 Consensus wine!
Lunch will be provided by BBQ Exchange, and every participant will receive a t-shirt custom-designed for the event. When making reservations, please let us know what t-shirt size you would like and which lunch option you would prefer: chicken BBQ, pork BBQ, or tofu BBQ.
