2016 LVA Pinot Gris
Slightly pinkish, as is typical of a pinot gris, the nose reveals floral notes with a touch of pear, apple and lemon. As the wine aerates these open up into the spicier aromas we often discuss with pinot gris, such as nutmeg and ginger. The palate is rich and textured with an enjoyable youthfulness and balance.
This wine is part of the Les Vents d’Anges series that commemorates the life of Geneviéve de Beaubien, sister of owner Al Schornberg. The name Les Vents d’Anges means “The Winds of Angels” in French and is pronounced the same as vendanges, meaning vintage or grape harvest.
