Bearing the signature and seal of approval of owner Al Schornberg, the Signature Series wines are an exclusive selection denoting some of the highest craftsmanship of our winemaker Stephen Barnard. The label represents a promise of the finest possible expression of a single varietal that Keswick Vineyards can produce and typically consisting of only a single barrel or two of production.
A beautiful golden color with brilliant clarity. The nose is a touch shy and needs aeration and warmth to reveal the full spectrum of yellow fruits and vanilla that permeate this wine. The palate is quite rich and creamy, with some sweet fruits such as dried pineapple and mango on the forefront. There is a wonderful acidity that balances out the weight and complexity of the oak ageing. The finish is long and smooth as is typical of our Signature wines.
Enjoyable now, but let this wine age for a couple more years before it really shines.
Fruit for this wine came from our 4 and 5 acre blocks on the side of Edgewood Estate and was hand picked on September 14th, 2017. The fruit was as optimal ripeness and very clean.
Whole cluster pressed and run directly to tank. Racking occurred three days later and fermentation completed in 28 days. The wine matured in 500L French Oak barrels for 10 months before being bottled August 28th, 2018.
