2017 Touriga Reserve
Incredibly dark, this 100% Touriga Nacionale was done in an amarone style with partially dried grapes. This unique method creates a very rich palate with a dense texture. Known for being a more acidic varietal, the balance on this unique Estate Reserve is wonderful with just enough acidity to even out the palate.
The fruit was hand picked on September 11th and dried and dehydrated for 7 days prior to processing. Brix were 26 when crushed and the fruit was de-stemmed prior to processing. Matured in neutral American oak barrels for 10 months and bottled in August of 2018.
