2017 Vidal Blanc

Tasting Notes
Fruit forward, the nose is dominated by yellow fruit notes, red apple, and melon with floral undertones. The palate is textured with a substantial amount of weight and juicy yellow fruits, giving this dry, bright wine a lot of character. Serve this wine at room temperature to allow the wine to fully express itself, or serve chilled for a crisp summer sipper.
Vinification
The fruit for this Vidal Blanc comes from a vineyard in Williamsburg, VA and was harvested August 27th. The fruit was cooled for 24 hours prior to being whole cluster pressed. We only used the free run juice for the wine, with heavier press fractions going to blends. Fermentation was done warm and finished in 14 days, after which the wine was racked off and matured in stainless steel tanks for 8 months.
