2018 Rosé Reserve
The nose is dominated by red fruits such as red currant, strawberry and raspberry, with some vanilla and coconut that is derived from the ageing in oak. The palate is bright and with good acidity while maintaining plenty of structure and weight. The flavors are in the red spectrum of fruits as well only there is some citrus and mineral aspects on the mid to back palate. A beautifully balanced wine that may need a year or two in the bottle to really shine!
This wine is 100% estate grown. The fruit spent no more than 2 hours on the skins before pressing, which resulted in a wine that has a beautiful light coral color. Once pressed, the wine was aged for 7 months in a combination of neutral French oak and stainless steel barrels that had Acacia heads.
Estate Reserve Label
The gold ribbon Estate Reserve label is an endorsement on our part of what we believe is the best expression of a wine. Our Estate Reserves are always 100% Estate grown and handled with a minimalistic style that reflects the character of the vineyard versus the winemaker. In terms of ageing, our reserves are designed to age and improve with time, generally requiring several years for them to reach their true potential.
