2019 L.V.A. Rives Red
100% Cabernet Sauvignon, grapes sourced from our partner vineyard in California, La Cienega Vineyards, and made here in Virginia by Stephen Barnard. The wine remains fruit forward with a slight hint of spice. The nose has an abundance of red fruits, crushed berries and hints of smoke. The palate reflects the higher acidity and cherry notes.
2019 Trevillian Red
An estate grown blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, matured for 6 months in neutral French Oak barrels. Aromas of dark fruit greet you with secondary hints of bitter chocolate and espresso tones. That core of black fruit is continued on the palate, held together by finely grained tannins, while balanced by juicy acidity. This red wine is both approachable and ageworthy, and may be laid down for a further 5-7 years. Pair with braised short ribs, spice rubbed or cured meats.
2017 Heritage Estate Reserve
A bordeaux blend of 78% Merlot and 22% Cabernet Franc that spent 22 months in French Oak. The nose of this wine is quite floral with secondary aromas of licorice, sweet spices and red fruits. The palate is soft with plush tannins and a full mouthfeel. Notes of spice, vanilla, chocolate and berries evolve into earthy and leathery tones. The hallmark of this wine is an opulent and decadent texture that is held together by good acidity and ripe tannins.
