This bright and citrusy sparkling wine is a darker style rosé with sour cherry tartness on the palate.
A blend of Merlot, Touriga and Chambourcin, this dry rosé is bursting with a juicy acidity and fresh, crisp palate.
Dark red with crimson tones, the 2017 winning Consensus blend displayed an abundance of dark fruits and spice. The Cabernet Franc base adds earth and black pepper to mix while the palate stays medium bodied with supple tannins. The flavors come across more cherry and plum, with just a hint of smokiness as well.
The LVA wines commemorate the life of Genevieve de Beaubien, beloved sister of the owner of Keswick Vineyards, Al Schornberg. Rives Red is a smooth and fruit forward, yet smoky red blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
An old world, truffle nose gives way to cedar and black tea while the palate shows a bit more fruit such as sour cherry, plum and boysenberry. The tannins are quite soft, but present.
Chambourcin, being a French-American hybrid, is fruit-forward, but with a rich earthiness. The nose is vibrant, floral and reminiscent to crushed berries. The palate on the other hand has an abundance of black cherry and pepper, giving the wine a unique complexity. The acidity on Chambourcin, which is usually quite high, is kept in check by the oak.
A silky smooth texture with a nose of cocoa and red cherry. The palate is a balance of acidity and oak with soft tannins.
A Virginia classic. The nose shows plenty of smoky tones with dark fruits and hints of oak. The palate remains very fruit forward, a gift from the rocky soils at Keswick that allow these grapes to fully ripen.
The floral and herbaceous nose exhibit Provencial herbs and vioelets. The palate is bright with soft and smooth tannins, that are not lacking in their intensity. A style that is becoming every more typical of Monticello Petit Verdot.
Sappy dark fruits and intense aromas of tobacco, chocolate, and violet dominate this wine. Many layers of richness and soft tannins complete the complex palate. This is a wine for the cellar, a truly special example of Keswick Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon.
